To us, it means that from dyepot to loom to wet finishing and hemming, Kelli (Llady Llama owner and dyer) personally handcrafted this special towel in the hopes that it will bring joy and a little magic to someone's life.
This rustic table runner was handwoven in plain weave on a rigid heddle loom using a combination of hand dyed Llongevity 6-ply hemp yarns. The combination of blues, silver grey and yellow call to mind Winter Solstice celebrations that focus on the return of the sun as the daylight hours begin to lengthen once again. The 6-ply yarn creates a robust, naturally textured and somewhat open weave cloth.
Professional fiber reactive dyes were used to hand dye the yarns used to create this item. The hems have been securely sewn with 100% cotton thread. Edges of the hem are hand sewn while the length of the hem is machine sewn. Both before and after hemming this item has been machine washed in hot water with professional textile detergent and color grabber sheets and then machine tumble dried on high with dryer balls before being steam ironed.

Care instructions:
Wash with like colors. Machine wash warm. Tumble dry low until slightly damp and then steam iron on linen heat setting. Hanging to dry out of direct sunlight will extend the life of your handwoven towel.
